There is something sacred about a relationship, to the people who take it seriously. A relationship can be a beautiful thing, to two people who can work together as a team and see it as a wonderful thing. Someone who’s in a relationship just for the consistency of someone being there, emotionally and physically, is more likely to veer from the idea of a relationship being a two way road. It’s a tough act to juggle but the people who can actually appreciate the beauty in a relationship are more like to appreciate the other person for being their partner, not just a staple. The “ball and chain” concept disgusts me. A person you’re with should be able to propel you through life because of just who they are. Someone to motivate, someone to accept you, someone who will move forward alongside you. Not just hold you down.
